I have some herbal tea recipe that helps  prevent  skin pigmentation.
One of the most efficient tea is a rose hip  tea.

One of the most common causes of   pigmentation is UV rays.
For me, this tea is necessary because I  easily get   exposed strong sunshine here in SIngapore.

AMAZAKE  is Good for Improvement of The Intestinal Environment

I made AMAZAKE for the first time.
AMAZAKE  is a traditional Japanese drink .
It's very popular ,especially in winter , because it keeps your body warm.
Its taste is very sweet and mild. It sounds like Japanese SAKE but actually it doesn't contain alcohol .(depends on recipe)
It is rich in enzyme because it is kind of fermented  food  made of kouji and rice .

AMAZAKE has a lot of amazing  benefits for fitness.
Aside from a lot of nuturients such as vitamins and minerals, what I like about AMAZAKE the most is that it improves the intestinal environment because of  its rich  oligosaccaride and enzymes.

Keeping your intestine clean  is the key to maintaining your skin healthy and glowing .
If constipation annoys you, AMAZAKE  is a highly recommended solution.

I love food  rich in enzymes because it gives me a lot of benefits for keeping my skin beautiful.
I guess fermented  food is one of  the reasons why  traditional Japanese ladies have beautiful skin .
Traditionally we have a variety of fermented food such as miso,shouyu, natttou, Japanese pickles and etc...
I try to take fermented food as much as possible to keep my intestine clean.
As I  mentioned , you have to keep your intestine clean first of all if  you want a beautiful skin .
It is very essential to keep  glowing skin.

This time I made AMAZAKE with wihte rice, but next time I will make it with Brown Rice.
It will be healthier and  more nutritious .







Home made AMAZAKE.
the process of making amazake at home is quite easy .
just mix kouji and porridge .
leave it in a rice warmers for 8~10hours.
the temperature should be kept at 60 degree.
that's all!!

if rice porridge is mixed  with kouji ,the texture should become thicker.
 but as it was fermented ,it became more diluted ( or watery)
and very sweet!!

I went to get pedicure at Origo Creation after work last night.
It is located at ChinaTown Point which is near my space.

They provide not only nail services , a lot of natural and organic product available.
The shop is very clean and cosy.

I got a pedicure using non toxic polish.
First of all I took  foot bath with aroma oil smells nice and got foot scrub .
All products  which therapist gave me were natural and organic .
It was really relaxing and refreshing and nail services was very hygienic and attentive.
After treatment I had a natural herb tea .
Most of the time I got a treatment I fell asleep.
It was very comfortable experience.

Nail polishes  they provided are all non-toxic and safe for pregnancy ,cancer patient and allergy suffers and children .
I love this services Coz I always try to avoid chemical ingredients as long as possible .
I don't lile pungent smell and it  didn't stimulate for me. 
The formula of the polishes doesn't contain toluene, formaldehyde , resin, dibutyl phthalate and camphor.


FIve  non-toxic polish brand  is available and they have variety of colors.

RAW STRAWBERRY CAKE


I sometimes make raw sweets  for my family and friends and I made a raw strawberry cake yesterday .
Actually,  my friend gave me a lot of raw  Cashew from Indonesia last week and the cashew are really good quality. It's very fresh and sweet.

Making raw cake is not difficult ,because of no heating, no baking and procedure is really simple , you are not required  special techniques .
It's  just a  simple step such as blending using blender and freezing in fridge .

What I like the most about raw sweets  is  not only good for health but looks beautiful.
Especially raw cake using fresh fruits looks very  pretty .
That is the reason why I'm into raw sweets.
Beautifulness make me happy, always.

100 % veggie pizza at SPIZZA

I found a 100% veggie pizza at SPIZZA .
I can find easily  vegetarian pizza with cheese at any restaurant but I finally found a pizza without cheese.
Eggplant, bellpepper , ,artichoke, mushrooms , zucchini were on it and it was delectable.
I felt light after eating even though it was a bit greasy  so I didn't have to feel guilty.
Spizza is  a casual and affordable pizzeria but quality is enough  good.
delivery and take away are also available.
Now I got a  new option  for my dinner .

The Juice of the day [carrot , apple and lemon ] 1st Aug 2014

I often make carrot fresh juice for breakfast.

Carrot is rich in Beta-carotene whicih is an antioxidant agent and another source of nutrition.

Here is  why you should take carrot  frequently ......


1 It helps  to skin turn over(exfoliate ) of your skin which make it smooth and supple,
   because carrots are  rich in  retinol which is  part of beta-carotene.

2  It Prevents  black spot and brown patches on the skin because of rich in  anti-oxidant .

3  Good for constipation because carrots are  rich in  fiber.




                                               
                                         For this morning ,I blended carrot with apple and lemon.

Eating a Better Bitter Gourd !!


Bitter gourd is well known to be good for health and beauty.
It is rich in Vitamin C which is an anti-oxidant agent that prevents black spot.
Vitamin C usually diminishes in food in the process of cooking but  in bitter gourd ,  it does not easily disappear even when exposed to heat while cooking.

Also bitter gourd can help us refresh our body , so it is very good during summer and is surely a necessity for those who live in tropical countries all year round. 

I usually like my bitter gourd stir-fried  but recently my friend told me her recipe which she invented together with her husband !
By using plenty of tomatoes and onions , the bitterness will become milder and it will be more delicious .
She uses oyster sauce and soy sauce, but I prefer to use black beans and red chili bean sauces.

Enjoy your bitter gourd dishes and get a beautiful skin !!

Japanese vegetarian pasta

I  sometimes make  this pasta  for lunch .

I use  plenty of grated japanese white radish.

Grated radish is really good for detoxifying our body.


 It's cleanses the body ,so this is usually part of our meal and I usually serve this to my husband especially when he drank a lot or ate so much meat.
 As for me, I usually eat  grated radish after having dairy products.






here is recipe

organic wholewheat pasta 

japanese UME plum (homemade is the best! 
it should be not sweet one)

japanese ooba (aojiso) shred into small pieces 

baked japanese mashrooms (simeji)

japanese sesami to taste (to sprinkle)

japanese sesami oil to taste

seaweed (cut into small pieces and sprinkle)

soy source to taste

place boiled  pasta on plate and
put everything  on it.
that's all . bon appétit !!

Vegetarian Hot Pot @ Ling zhi vegetarian

This was my  first visit to  Ling Zhi vegetarian restaurant and It was much better than I expected.


They offer buffet style hot pot and there's plenty of veggies  and you can eat all you can  .
My friend and I enjoyed a variety of vegetables and veggie dumplings which were really tasty !

Actually I visited fine dining  hot pot restaurant before in Singapore, but they used a lot of MSG . So usually, after eating, I felt sick and dizzy.
So, I avoided hot pot restaurant since then because I'm scared about hot pot. But now that I have tried Ling Zhi restaurant, I had a different impression about hotpot. They don't seem to use MSG  or if they use,it must be in a  small amount, because  I didn't get any  reaction after eating.


Healthy and comfortable  veggie hot pot made us feel full and satisfied .

The veggies variety is similar to yong tau fu.

Wiser Choice than PotatoChips


 FIFA WORLD CUP  is being held in Brazil now!
Are you a big fun of football? Actually,I'm not .
But my son is a huge fan of football and he has been watching games all  day since FIFA started.
He sometimes wants to eat potato chips while watching the games .

Now I have a good suggestion for those who want to have some snacks while  watching TV.
Do you feel guilty after eating oily potato chips?   or  Have you  ever  felt '' oh I did it again, but I can't resist it''??

Here is a much wiser and healthier option for couch potatoes !
The answer is  POP CORN.


Pop corn is a whole grain food and it contains more of the antioxidant substances like polyphenols than fruits and vegetables.  
Also Its calorie  is much lower than other snacks such as potato chips and you won't feel sick after eating it. Sometimes I feel sick after eating snacks because of their oxidized oiliness .
Because of great benefit ,It seemed that POP QUEEN MADONNA did popcorn diet and she succeeded .
Now popcorn is more than just a traditional snack while waching movie.
I belieave that healthy popcorn should be home-made.

How to make it is very simple and easy.
you just fry popcorn with small amount of olive oils , and just add salt and pepper .
Than's all!

maple syrup and agave syrup could be tasty
aside from salt and pepper.


It's really fun to see that popcorns are dancing in the pan!

Create Your Own Salad at Toss and Turn

I often come to  Toss and Turn to have lunch or dinner whenever I want to eat plenty of vegetables.
At this salad bar ,you can create your own salad as you like.
You can choose 2 protein rich meat (such as chicken,salmon, prawn  etc) and 4 veges( or crunchies , fruits etc)as toppings for basic green leaf salad.
For me, I always choose all vegetables.
Aside from  green leaf salad, you can also  choose from  noodle or rice salad.

What  I like most about Toss and Turn is that they always provide fresh and good quality  ingredients .
I always choose olives , actually  their olives are one of the best olives I have ever had.
It is  fresh and juicy and  not salty .
Aside from vegetables, the  variety of soup are also very good. 
The home-made  soup makes you feel comfortable and happy.
This casual style salad bar is a branch of Cedele ,which is very popular for the health consious and also delisious restaurant in Singapore.
This is the reason why Toss and Turn also have their   confort soup ,like Cedele.
You can enjoy the tasty soup as well as cedele.

Another of their signatures dish is  hot sandwiches which have different  variety for vegen.

This is my dinner for today.
I choose orange carrots soup , It tastes  so fresh!!

Quinoa and broccoli salad


Last  March when I went back to Japan, I ran into my friend from Singapore at the Tokyo station ,It was amazing that we bumped into each other in a crowded and busy station .
Last weekend, we met and had dinner . We enjoyed catching up and the dinner was very enjoyable.
the dish  I ate that night was quinoa and broccoli  salad.
it was more delicious than I expected.

For today's lunch ,I tried to recreate the salad for my husband and me.
It was delicious  and   super healthy  salad for your beauty.


Quinoa which is one of main ingredient of this salad contains high protein and low-carb ,so It's good for your diet instead of another high-carb like a white rice, bread and pasta etc.
quinoa provides all essential 9 amino acids and also gluten-free and cholesterol-free.
another main ingredient is broccoli and this healthy vegetable  contains much anti- oxidants and Vit.C which keeps your skin from aging due to oxidation
Almond and cranbery are good as anti- oxidants as well.
tomatoes have rikopin for fair skin .






ingredients  and how to cook

broccoli ( wash ,drain and cut into small bite)
quinoa (boiled in advance)
onion (chopped finely)
almond(crashed)
pine nuts
dry cranberry
tomato(cut into small bite)
wine vinegar
balsamico
olive oil
lime juice
salt and pepper

mix all together
that's all!!

any herb, any spice to taste
I like to add chili pepper and coriander leaf.
mint leaf also could be nice.

vege-ceviche


I cooked vege-ceviche for my weekend brunch with my husband.

The first time I ate cerviche was about 3 years ago when I went to Mexico for a vacation with my husband.

the resort (the one and only palmilla ,Los Cabos was wonderful place!) had a Japanese restaurant with a Japanese chef.

So, since my husband wants to eat japanese food wherever he went,
 we visited this Japanese restaurant and enjoyed the wonderful cuisine while speaking with the Japanese chef.
One night he made cerviche for us even though cerviche is a mexican food.
We really loved it. It was fresh and spicy and totally delectable .
After that  journey ,we sometimes visit Mexican restaurants to eat cerviche.



but last week, to my delight, in the vege-cooking class I attended , I was able to get the recipe of vege-cerviche.
This recipe, which includes mango, is as fresh and spicy as the traditional cerviche.

my husband loves this too, altough he doesn't like mango so much.
I'm really happy that it's very easy to make .

Vege-cerviche is ideal for weekend brunch, because the  fresh taste reminds me of that resort vacation , it is very relaxing.



I had vegan cooking class at palate sensations .
they offer a variety of cooking class.
not only vegan,
also western, chinese,japanese, french,italian etc
they have even hawker dishes class!!

My favorite dish at Real Food

I had a lunch at real food which is one of my favorite vegetarian cafe in singapore .

A lot of tasty food choices are available but my favorite is beet root burger.
umm It's so yummy,I love it!!

I went there with my friend today. she also ate beet root burger and she really enjoyed eating it although  she is not vegetarian .

Yes !
REAL FOOD is a happy place  for both vegetarian and non- vegetarian who are not interested in vege-life.

I sometime eat or drink  beet root to improve poor circulation.
beet root contains iron and mineral which improves blood circulation so it's good for dull skin.
poor circulation leads to dull skin... and also eye bag( like a panda! but its not such a cute one)
eye bag  is likely to come out especially when I don't have good sleep.

 GO get the  bright skin with beet root ♡
